Premier League lifeline to Leeds as Ipswich held to 3-3 draw at Hull City

Leeds United have been given a Premier League lifeline as Ipswich Town stumbled in their latest Championship fixture.

Kieran McKenna’s side had the chance to create a two points gap with the Whites by winning on Saturday.

But they suffered a disappointing 3-3 draw at the hands of Hull City who came from behind three times to earn a share in the spoils.

Ozan Tufan cancelled out George Hirst’s opening goal before Omari Hutchinson restored the visitors’ lead with a stunning effort in the injury-time of first-half.

Liam Delap scored the leveller early in the second half but Hutchinson once again stepped up to maintain their advantage with another impressive finish.

However, with three minutes remaining in the game, Noah Ohio popped up with a late goal to snatch a point for Hull City.

The result has lifted Leeds’ hopes for securing automatic promotion to the Premier League, although they are level on points with Ipswich who also have a game in hand on the Whites.

Daniel Farke’s men suffered a chastening 4-0 defeat at Queens Park Rangers on Friday, with Ilias Chair, Lucas Andersen, Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field all earning their names on the scoresheet.

The Yorkshire outfit will now host Southampton on the final day of the season, with the game available to watch through Championship live streams

Victory at Elland Road will not be sufficient for the Whites to secure automatic promotion place if Ipswich don’t slip up.
