Leeds United’s away fixture with Middlesbrough has been moved after being picked for live TV coverage on Sky Sports.
The Championship game was initially scheduled to start on Saturday, April 20 at the Riverside Stadium.
But it has now been moved to Monday, April 2022, with an 8pm kick-off, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
Leeds defeated Millwall 2-0 in their previous game at Elland Road, courtesy of goals from Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James.
The victory has lifted them to the top of the Championship standings on goal difference ahead of Leicester City, although the Foxes have an extra game in hand.
The Whites will return to action next Friday following the international break when they travel to Hertfordshire to take on Watford.
Daniel Farke’s men ran out 3-0 winners the last time they met the Hornets at Elland Road.
Watford have been enduring a miserable run of form as they have won just one of their last five Championship matches but that came in their previous outing against Birmingham City.
Meanwhile, Leeds have won 12 of their 13 league games in the new year, suffering only a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town in March.
Given their excellent form, the Yorkshire outfit shouldn’t have any difficulty picking up full points at Vicarage Road.
