Maintaining family legacy at Leeds United, Alfie Cresswell has penned his first professional contract with the Championship club.
The Whites have confirmed the 17-year-old has signed a three-year deal that is set to keep him at Elland Road until 2027.
His father Richard played for the Yorkshire outfit between 2005 and 2007, featuring in 44 matches and scoring 11 goals.
His elder brother Charlie came through the youth ranks at Thorp Arch and made 14 senior appearances before joining Toulouse in a £3.8 million move earlier this month.
Cresswell impressed with his performances for Rob Etherington’s Under-18s side last season. He featured in 27 appearances in all competitions and helped the team reach the FA Youth Cup final.
The talented centre-back also made his Under-21s debut towards the end of the season, playing against Leicester City in the Premier League 2.
Leeds have secured new contracts for several youngsters in the last few weeks, including Charlie Crew who has penned a four-year deal.
The Whites failed to make an immediate return to the Premier League last season under manager Daniel Farke.
They looked on course to secure automatic promotion after an excellent run of results in the new year.
But a single win from their final six league matches saw them finishing third in the Championship standings.
The West Yorkshire side also lost 1-0 to Southampton in the play-offs final at the Wembley Stadium following their 4-0 aggregate victory over Norwich City in the semi-final.
