Rasmus Kristensen will reportedly return to Leeds United in the summer after his loan spell at AS Roma.
The 26-year-old joined the Serie A outfit on loan in July following the Whites’ relegation from the Premier League.
But he has failed to make a huge impact at the Stadio Olimpico, featuring in 25 league games and scoring only a single goal.
Manager Daniele De Rossi is not keen to extend Kristensen’s stay and he will return to Elland Road when his loan is complete, as per Corriere Dello Sport.
The Denmark international arrived at Leeds in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth £10 million but didn’t meet expectations at the club.
In 30 appearances across all competitions last term, he scored only three goals and contributed a single assist.
He has rarely impressed defensively or in possession, and the fact that even Roma don’t want him now says a lot about him.
Leeds are top favourites to secure Premier League promotion as they are currently sitting at the top of the Championship standings.
Daniel Farke will want to keep only top quality players at Elland Road next season if they get promoted to the English top-flight.
The Yorkshire outfit will look to sell Kristensen in the summer but they are unlikely to recoup the £10m they spent on him in 2022.
